At Willow & Hall, we pride ourselves on the fact that all our fabulous designs are handmade from start to finish in Britain. So, that’s why, this week, we thought we would share with you the story of how your lovely handcrafted item is made. Take a peek below to find out more….
First things first, your chosen fabric or leather is ordered from our artisan suppliers and sent direct to our workshop in Wiltshire. We believe that our homes have personalities too which is why we offer an extensive range of fabrics and leathers to personalise your design. So, whatever your requirements, you’ll be able to find and customise the perfect item for your home. Once you have made your fabric choice, we get to work immediately.
Your fabric or leather is ordered directly from the mill. We’ve worked with our suppliers and hand-picked all of our fabrics and leathers to ensure the very best quality and durability. Once the fabric or leather arrives at our workshop, one of our experienced seamstresses will start chalking and cutting it by hand ready for your lovely item to be upholstered.
Once the fabric pattern is cut, one of our master craftsmen will start to hand construct the frame of your item. As you may already know, at Willow & Hall, we offer a 5 year guarantee on all our lovely solid wood frames. Tough like the Hulk they’re built to last!
Once the frame is ready, one of our talented upholsterers will hand apply the fabric or leather to the frame. With over 35 years spent in the home furnishings business, the team in the West Country really know their stuff. They have incredible knowledge and experience as to what makes a high quality and durable item of furniture.
Finally, once the craftsmen are absolutely happy with your finished item, they’ll sign it off with the W&H stamp of quality before it leaves the workshop and wings its way to you. Feet, zips, stitching, ruffling, you name it we’re on it. All hand-picked by our team, they’re designed to perfectly flatter the product.
