How To Care For Your Handmade Sofa Bed

1. Check Your Sofa Bed’s Care Instructions

Many of our fabrics are machine or hand washable, and almost all are dry cleanable. Be sure to check your sofa’s own instructions before going ahead. If your fabric can be machine washed please ensure this is done on a gentle, 30 degree cycle using a mild detergent and no bleaches or fabric conditioners. Hand washing should take place in cool water again with mild detergent. Allow the covers to air dry until they are 80% dry, before putting them back onto the cushion inserts to finish drying.

2. Blot Stains

If you notice any spills or stains on your sofa bed, it's crucial to address them immediately to avoid them setting in. Blot the stain carefully with a clean cloth or paper towel to remove as much of the mess as possible.

3. Use a Mild Detergent and Avoid Harsh Chemicals

When it comes to cleaning your sofa bed, it's essential to use a mild detergent and warm water. Test any cleaning agents on a small patch to ensure they won't damage the fabric. Apply the detergent mixture sparingly to avoid soaking the material. Harsh chemicals such as bleach and ammonia can damage your sofa bed material and discolour it. Always opt for mild and natural cleaning products.

4. Deep Clean Regularly
