Build Your Dream Chaise Sofa Bed
Half the pleasure of a made-to-order chaise sofa bed is building it around your own room, from the shape right down to the fabric.
The Alderton is the one for a mid-century scheme. Its tapered wooden legs, angular back and softly splayed arms have a tailored, retro line that sits well alongside walnut furniture and warm, earthy tones. Try it in a burnt orange or a deep teal velvet to lean into the era, or a natural weave if you'd rather keep things understated.
The Deverill is the relaxed, contemporary choice. Its slender armless frame keeps it light in a smaller or open-plan room, and because it's modular you can arrange it to suit your space. Soft, pale linens give it that easy, lived-in feel, while a bolder colour turns it into more of a statement.
The Ansty is the softest to settle into, with gently flared arms and deep seat cushions. It suits a calm, put-together living room, and looks especially good in a tactile fabric like a chenille or a brushed weave, in soft neutrals for a timeless feel or a muted green or blue for a little more character.
Fabrics for Your Chaise Lounge Sofa Bed
Our fabrics fall into three collections, which makes narrowing down more than 150 options a little easier:
House Collection: soft, versatile and easy to live with, including House Weave, House Velvet and House Chenille.
Signature Collection: richer textures and finishes, from Stain Resistant Broad Weave, Vintage Velvet, Deep Velvet and Textured Weave to Resistant Cotton, Brushed Weave and Moleskin Velvet.
Heritage Collection: our most distinctive designs, running from Eco Velvet, Eco Cotton and Vegan Leather through to Garden Print, Botanical Print and Stain Resistant Eco Chenille.
It's worth thinking about how the room is used: stain-resistant weaves and vegan leather wipe clean easily for family life, while velvets and prints suit a space that stays a little calmer. Samples are free, so you can order up to eight and compare them at home before you decide.
Choosing Your Chaise Sofa Bed Mattress
Where many sofa beds hide a thin fold-out pad, every chaise design at Willow & Hall holds a full 14cm mattress, so guests wake up rested rather than aching. There are three types to choose from, depending on how often the bed will be used:
Open sprung: supportive, breathable and good value, ideal for the occasional guest.
Pocket sprung: individually wrapped springs that move with you, for a better night's sleep in regular use.
Memory foam: pressure-relieving and cushioning, suited to anyone sleeping on it night after night.
Three seat cushion fillings let you set the feel too, from firm, supportive reflex foam to soft, feather-wrapped foam, with a relaxed hollow fibre option in between, so it sits exactly the way you like.
Chaise Lounge Sofa Bed Sizes, Storage & Mechanisms
Our chaise sofa beds come in three sizes, so you can match the piece to your room rather than the other way around. A 4 seater chaise sofa bed suits most family living rooms, a 5 seater sofa bed gives extra lounging length, and a 6 seater sofa bed anchors a larger, open-plan space.
Whichever size you choose, the bed is simple to reach. Lift the seat, draw the sprung frame up and towards you, and your pull out chaise sofa bed unfolds into a flat bed with a 14cm mattress already in place, so there's nothing separate to store.
Several designs, like the Atworth and the Elmley, add hidden storage under the chaise seat, a natural home for duvets, pillows and spare bedding. You can see the full range on our chaise storage sofa beds page.
Our designs come as either a left-hand or right-hand facing chaise. Choose the side that keeps your main walkway clear and sits comfortably with the rest of your layout, and if you'd like a second opinion, our team is happy to help before you order.
Finance, Guarantees and Finding the Right Fit
Handmade in Britain and made to order, our chaise lounge sofa beds are designed for larger spaces that need comfortable seating and a spare bed in one. Every design is backed by a 25-year wood frame guarantee and a 10-year mattress guarantee, and with 0% finance on orders over £1,500 you can spread the cost across several months from a deposit of up to 50%, with no interest.
If you'd like help choosing the right size or chaise direction, contact our team, we're always happy to help.
If you're weighing up other options, our modular sofa beds let you arrange the layout to your room, while our chaise storage sofa beds put hidden storage front and centre, and our corner sofa beds offer something a little larger again.
FAQS
What is the difference between a chaise sofa bed and a standard sofa bed?
Chaise sofa beds feature an extended section for lounging, offering extra seating or a place to stretch out during the day. They also convert into a larger sleeping area at night.
How does a pull out chaise sofa bed work?
You remove the seat cushions, take hold of the metal frame and pull it up and towards you, and it unfolds into a flat bed with the mattress already in place. There's no separate mattress to store, and it folds back just as easily. Full step-by-step instructions come with every design.
Can I choose which side the chaise is on?
Yes. You can choose a left or right-hand chaise to suit your room layout, and modular designs like the Deverill can be rearranged whenever you need. Check each product page for the options available.
What fabric options work best for busy family rooms?
Hard-wearing fabrics like our velvets, stain-resistant weaves and cotton blends stand up well to everyday use, while wool-rich options add a softer, more luxurious feel.
