Is there anything more relaxing than sinking into your cosy sofa and cuddling up with a
scatter of soft cushions? We all know that one of any shape and colour will keep your head comfy through that lazy Sunday afternoon nap but if like me you’d like to sprinkle some spice on your sophisticated sofa there’s hardly anything better than a few exciting, eye-grabbing colourful vintage cushions.

Popular patterns and fabrics have changed with every decade, so the selection nowadays is really fab and ranges from nostalgic 50’s floral patterns and wobbly 60’s retro forms to tongue-in-cheek 70’s kitsch prints and disco-inspired 80’s weaves. There’s something shared by all of them though: they’re bright, attention-grabbing, and certainly out of the ordinary – the perfect condiment to any handsome plain-coloured sofa. Take a peek below for some of my favourite vintage cushion designs.
