And no party is as big in Britain as New Year’s Eve, which offers a chance to let our hair down, make peace with the outgoing year, and welcome in a fresh new start. It also offers the chance to celebrate in style at one of the countless beautiful destinations up and down the country. So, being the interiors lovers that we are here at Willow & Hall, we decided to focus our edit of places to bring in 2017 on locations that offer gorgeous interiors.
So, here's our edit of some of the most stunningly designed interiors in Britain that you can celebrate NYE in this 31st December.
The Booking Office at The St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, London
This stunning hotel bar and restaurant, just off the lobby of the Renaissance Hotel, occupies what was once the booking office of the old St Pancras train station in Kings Cross. With a ceiling height that stretches as far as the eye can see, and a 29-metre long bar that wraps around the original grade I listed ticket booth. For NYE, The Booking Office is throwing a Victorian circus themed celebration, with a 5-course menu at £85 per head, and live swing and jazz from 10pm-1pm.
The Milk Thistle, Bristol
Hidden in a historic building in the old city, this stylish 4-floored speakeasy prides itself on being one of Bristol's best-kept secrets. Behind its unassuming and unmarked door, you'll find yourself transported back into a prohibition era with all the opulent trappings of the 1920s. NYE here is themed around the 1980s cult film Labyrinth; which starred David Bowie, so expect decadence and OTT celebrations aplenty.
G&V Hotel, Edinburgh
Colour pops, prints and patterns are what give G&V its distinctive interiors edge. Based in the heart of Edinburgh, along the famous Royal Mile, this modern 5-star hotel (the only one on The Mile) celebrates style in all its glory with its bold, brave and jaw-droppingly beautiful approach to interiors decoration. NYE here is a celebration of Edinburgh's traditional Hogmanay, served alongside a mouth-watering Italian menu, with a party set to last long into the night.
Malmaison, Birmingham
Malmaison's Birmingham outpost is a celebration of rich textures, with stainless steel, marble and leather all working together to result in an interiors theme that isn't just easy on the eye, it's a sensory delight to touch too! A 5-course dinner in Malmaison's typical French fusion style and served in the brassiere is one to be enjoyed.
Crazy Bear, Beaconsfield
Housed in a 15th Century coaching inn, that's literally unrecognisable following its transformation, Crazy Bear Beaconsfield has been given the same lavish interiors touch as its London and Southampton predecessors. Safe to say it definitely won’t disappoint. A Hollywood Glamour themed party complete with cabaret, magicians and a 5-course dinner, will help revellers welcome in NYE in typical Crazy Bear fashion.
