1) A beautiful design
It’s vital that you love the design of your Sofa. There’s no point opting for a best-seller without checking out what else is on offer. After all, it’s a large and very personal purchase so you need to love the design and check that it works for your space and needs. At Willow & Hall, we offer a variety of handmade designs with extensive customisation options, including a choice of fabrics and seat cushions, so we’re sure you won’t have to compromise to find something perfect.

2) A fabulous fabric/leather
It’s important that your Sofa fits your needs. For instance, if you're looking for a Sofa for everyday use in a house with small children and mucky pet paws, you should opt for a machine washable and durable fabric. On the other hand, if you're furnishing a more formal living setting, you may decide to choose a more luxurious, dry-cleanable fabric such as a statement velvet. On our website, we offer detailed descriptions of our fabric and leather compositions, as well as their durability and how to clean them so you can be sure what you’re buying before your design is upholstered.

 3) The comfort factor
We understand that people look for different qualities in a Sofa, whether it’s somewhere to relax after a hard day’s work or a formal look for stylish entertaining. That’s why we offer two different types of seat cushions. After all, there’s no point in loving the design only to find out that it doesn’t offer the comfort you deserve. We offer the following options…

Foam and fibre
Foam and fibre cushions wrapped in stockinette. They provide a very supportive and relatively firm sit and they also keep their shape extremely well and require very little maintenance – a plump and turn every 2-3 months.

Siliconized hollow fibre
Stuffed with siliconized hollow fibre within individual sewn channels within the cushion. The channels are like in a duvet, they stop the fibre all going into one place and the fibre is silicone treated to stop it from gathering and to keep it supple. If you like a slightly softer sit and a more relaxed look to your seat cushions then this option is for you. However, they will need a little more love – we recommend a quick plump-up after use and a real shake down once a month.

4) A frame fit to last
It comes as no surprise that a sturdy frame means a long-lasting sofa. Soft wood, such as pine may come at a low cost but it is unlikely to stand the test of time. Hardwood, such as the woods which we use, will make for a more reliable investment. Once you have this part of your Sofa sussed, you can be assured that you’re buying a design made to last. We’re confident in our sturdy frame and offer a 5 year frame guarantee with all purchases.

5) The perfect size
Lastly, the size you opt for will of course depend on how and who you intend to use your Sofa. However, the primary concern should be making sure that it fits nicely in to your chosen space. At Willow & Hall, we offer a range of 2 and 3 seater Sofas, as well as 4 and 5 seater chaise and 7 and 8 seater corner options. We also have a range of 4 and 5 seater chaise storage Sofas, perfect to tuck away your out-of-season cushions and throws. Lastly, most of our Sofa designs come as Armchairs with all of the above features and customisation options.
